Dr Altaf Hussain has met with officials from Natural Resources Wales and the National Trust, following concerns expressed by local residents and stakeholders over the Cwm Ivy Salt Marsh project.
Residents have told Altaf that they are concerned about the status of a previously well-used footpath. The footpath is not preserved under current proposals, and concerns have been raised about the cost of re-instating access to the area.
Altaf has asked the officials to keep him informed about future developments, and has assured the residents that he will keep them up to date and fight hard to ensure that their interests are represented.
